About G Taco House

Hidden away in the charming town of Sour Lake lies G Taco House, a Mexican restaurant that embodies the heart and soul of traditional Mexican cuisine. Located at 115 TX-105, this gem might not jump out at everyone right away, but word is getting around that it’s the kind of place worth seeking out. Perfect for those who appreciate authentic flavors and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

At G Taco House, the menu reads like a love letter to anyone who’s ever had a craving for spice and zest. Imagine succulent tacos, filled generously with tender carne asada or juicy al pastor, each topped with fresh, crisp onions and fragrant cilantro. Neatly lined up in soft, warm tortillas, they beckon diners to dive in. The enchiladas, smothered in rich, tangy sauces, prove equally irresistible, while the burritos offer heftier fare for those with larger appetites. There’s no shortage of options for vegetarians either; their veggie quesadillas manage to pack such a punch that even the most dedicated carnivores won't miss the meat.

It's impossible to ignore the enchantment of their homemade salsa, either. Each bite leaves a delightful tingle on the taste buds, striking the perfect balance between heat and flavor. And don’t miss the horchata—a sweet, cinnamon-infused drink fitting to wash down any meal, and a favorite among many of the regulars. Speaking of which, it doesn’t take long to understand why people are raving about this place. A collection of local reviews praises not only the robust and flavorful offerings but also the warmth and hospitality that accompany every visit.

Many diners go on to recommend G Taco House for both casual meals and small gatherings. The charm here is evident not just in the menu but in the personable service that seems to transform first-time visitors into repeat customers. One might find the simple, laid-back setting of the place reminiscent of family dinners, where laughter and good stories flow as freely as the guacamole.

So, for anyone passing through Sour Lake, it might be wise to take the detour to G Taco House. Serving up more than just food but a genuine slice of Mexican warmth right in the heart of Texas, it’s a culinary adventure waiting to be savored. Don't miss out on the chance to explore these flavors, because in a little spot like this, every bite tells a story worth sharing.

We happened upon this taco shop on a road trip and it definitely was a top notch stop! Hubby ordered the street tacos, and they were awesome. Quesadilla was actually a double stack which was super filling. Tons of chips and salsa, and the staff was really friendly. Lots of locals comimg in on their lunch break, which gets my vote of confidence every time. The restroom and hand wash station were kid friendly, and there was a high chair available. Would definitely stop again.

We were passing through on our way to Shreveport and needed a light, quick meal. This really fit the bill. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and kind. If I lived nearby I would be a regular.

G Taco House of Sour Lake Texas. I'll start my review off by saying I am writing this in the notes of my phone. (cellphone signal isn't great inside) However, WHO NEEDS cellphone service when I was staring at 2 of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, my husband AND G Taco House's Mexican Pizza. My first bite of this delicious Mexican Pizza made me freeze for a moment thinking of the times I passed this amazing place by not knowing what I was missing. *kicks self in boots for not trying it sooner* it was made so perfectly, the flavors were amazing! Idk why anyone ever threw a fit over tacobell Mexican pizza?!?! Oh wait....G taco House has been open about 2 1/2 years maybe nobody knew any better. I didn't know better. I do now! My husband and I really really love their salsa and queso.....the queso is delicious as well....my husband and I both were thinking the same thing. We used to live in Oklahoma when my husband was stationed there and every single Mexican restaurant we went to didn't even have a good queso. G Taco House has a GREAT queso. Oh queso....anyways....ha! See what did there?! So the food is perfect, the restaurant is clean! The staff is kind and respectful! My belly is full of my Mexican Pizza so I haven't tried my Elote cup of corn yet but I have faith it's gonna be elote joy to eat it....ha another pun. G Taco House you're invited to my birthday party. Christmas too (nvm we hate christmas) but if we GRILLING YALL CHILLING. Thanks for a wonderful late lunch! This beat the heck outta going to subway! (We like it sometimes) but man oh man! We sure were missing out! We will absolutely be back soon! (Dear husband, can it be tomorrow?) Ps. The sweet tea is good! And I don't even like sweet tea much. My husband loved it. He loved his food as well, specifically did say "man I'd come here for the queso!" He just isn't gonna write a book 😆
